LIVESTRONG Promotores Curriculum Materials
The LIVESTRONG Cancer Survivorship Training Curriculum for Promotores or Community Health Workers to share knowledge, skills and motivation to improve the quality of life of Hispanic/Latino cancer survivors. The curriculum provides tools and strategies to help cancer survivors keep track of the physical, day-to-day and emotional concerns of cancer survivorship.
Each session covers a different area of cancer survivorship. The curriculum is divided into seven sessions, including:
- Session 1: Cancer and the Hispanic/Latino Community
- Session 2: What Is Cancer Survivorship?
- Session 3: What Are the Physical Concerns?
- Session 4: What Are the Emotional Concerns?
- Session 5: What Are the Day-to-Day Concerns?
- Session 6: LIVESTRONG Resources
- Session 7: Day in the Life of a Promotor(a)
All sessions of the curriculum should be used in their entirety to fully educate Promotoras on the topic of cancer survivorship.
To Conduct a LIVESTRONG Promotores Training in Your Community:

Within four weeks of receipt of all required forms, LIVESTRONG will mail participants their certificate of completion and a sample packet of LIVESTRONG materials.
