LIVESTRONG Promotores Training Program

To address the needs of Hispanic/Latino cancer survivors, LIVESTRONG created a cancer survivorship training curriculum to increase Hispanic/Latino community health workers’, otherwise known as Promotores’, knowledge and confidence on the physical, emotional and day-to-day concerns of cancer survivors. To date, LIVESTRONG has trained over 500 Promotores across the country.

Through the 2011 Community Impact Project, LIVESTRONG is funding the implementation of our training program in 30 cities across the country. In 2011 LIVESTRONG funded the replication of the Promotores program in the following communities:
