Your Role in Our Mission
The Team LIVESTRONG Fundraising and Events Ambassador will support participants registered for Team LIVESTRONG events and help them achieve their fundraising goals through creative and innovative solutions. The Team LIVESTRONG Fundraising and Events Ambassador will be responsible for sharing new ideas on participant recruitment, marketing tactics, and revenue generation. He/she will also play a key role in supporting ongoing communication with our participants and deepening their level of engagement and loyalty to the brand. The ideal candidate should possess tremendous customer service skills while remaining proactive in all aspects of the role.

Drive the fundraising process for Team LIVESTRONG events through mission-based participant communication, participant stewardship, and participant management (which includes but is not limited to technical support, logistical support, and fundraising brainstorming)

Develop a comprehensive event experience through pre-event marketing tactics, a communication calendar, weekend-of Team LIVESTRONG activities, and post-event evaluation

Execute on Team LIVESTRONG activities in the form of pre-event planning meetings, grassroots marketing efforts, or weekend-of events.

Provide insight and analysis on Team LIVESTRONG event performance as it relates to fundraising and participant recruitment

Provide feedback and discussion around event tactics and their impact to the event budget

Create a well-documented process for each event as its own business in order to facilitate future replication and improve record-keeping

Engage and interact with internal support teams to complete projects which support Team LIVESTRONG events

Be an active participant in Team LIVESTRONG discussions involving current event challenges and provide solution-driven ideas in an effort to help others

Lead with a positive attitude and act as an ambassador of Team LIVESTRONG events in both internal and external discussions

Foster a sense of teamwork so that other team members can grow as a result of working on our events and become stronger contributors to the mission

Work collaboratively with Team LIVESTRONG team members as well as complimentary departments to improve our work product and efficiency

Explore internal projects that provide the opportunity to work cross-functionally with other departments and contribute your personal expertise while being an ambassador of our Team.

Provide consistent and ongoing communication to the Team LIVESTRONG manager on the state of Team LIVESTRONG events as well as tactical projects which directly impact the events’ success and the success of the team

Address concerns or issues with the Team LIVESTRONG manager
Your Training

Knowledge and experience in fundraising with a passion for the LIVESTRONG mission.

Strong understanding of building processes to improve efficiency or customer service interactions.

Act as a generalist and perform tasks and functions in many areas.

Able to work cross-functionally and collaboratively across departments and teams.

2-3 years of success in event fundraising.

Expert in fundraising, team building, relationship management.

Experience in managing a sports endurance programs is preferred, but not required.

Bachelors Degree required.
Travel
This position includes up to 40% travel.
