Planned Giving
Have you or a loved one been helped by Livestrong and want to pay it forward? You can leave a legacy by including Livestrong in your will, trust, estate plan, or any other legacy giving.
Make a Big Impact With a Future Gift
If you would like to extend your support of Livestrong to make a lasting impact, there are several gift arrangements to choose from.
Whether you would like to support our work today or benefit us after your lifetime, you can find a charitable plan that lets you provide for your family and support Livestrong. Here are some of the most popular charitable plans to consider:
Remember Us in Your Will
- Structure your will to provide for your family first. Then include a gift to the charitable organizations you love. Just a few simple sentences and a meeting with an estate planning attorney are all it takes.
Give Retirement Plan Assets
- Consider making Livestrong a beneficiary of a percentage of your retirement plan assets. Then, leave less heavily taxed assets to your loved ones. You may make a qualified charitable distribution (QCD) from an IRA or another retirement account if you are over the age of 70 ½. Donating through your traditional IRA can reduce your tax liability while making a charitable gift.
Arrange a Charitable Trust
- With a charitable remainder trust, you can receive income each year (either fixed or variable) from assets you place in the trust. After your lifetime, the balance in the trust goes to the charities of your choice.
Use Life Insurance to Make a Gift
- There are several ways you can use life insurance to give back to Livestrong. We can help you explore your options.
Give Through a Donor-Advised Fund
- A donor-advised fund, or DAF, is a simple, efficient and tax-effective way to make charitable contributions to your favorite charities, like Livestrong. Through a DAF, donors are able to make a charitable contribution, receive an immediate tax benefit and then recommend grants from the fund over time. Now is the time to use your fund to make a positive and immediate impact on critical programs and services for cancer survivors. Your financial advisor or fund manager can help you recommend a gift to Livestrong.
